Arabic vocal repertoire spans many colors, rich dialects and vast geographies. This year’s class will take a deep dive into the beautiful voice and songs by celebrated Lebanese singer, Feiruz. The class will share with singers ornamental nuances and vocal approaches expressed through Feiruz’s style. Singers of all levels are welcome. Song translation and transliteration will be provided. Please note that this class is taught through ear training/active listening.

About Khatchadour Khatchadourian

Khatchadour is a Lebanese-Armenian vocalist and musician. He sings in Armenian, Arabic and Farsi voice, and plays the Armenian woodwind, Duduk. He holds bachelor’s degrees in both Anthropology & Middle Eastern Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Khatchadour has released five albums to date and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
