Be prepared to join in the fun on the big Latin Dance night! Rueda is a Cuban group dance with a caller- much like square dancing, but in a circle! Learn the basic group moves and partner moves while internalizing the rhythms of Cuban dance music, from Son Montuno to Timba. No partner required! Beginning and intermediate dancers welcome!

About Cora Hubbert

Cora has studied various styles of Cuban popular dance including Casino, Rueda, Son, and Danzon, with renowned teachers in the Bay Area and beyond. She danced with the performance groups Salsa Vale Todo and Rueda Vale Todo from 2010-2017, while she also immersed herself in many other traditional dance styles including Flamenco, Afro-Haitian, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian dances.

Cora’s childhood and young adult life were deeply influenced by her family’s passion for traditional music, particularly Cuban and Puerto Rican. Cora is an elementary school teacher who currently resides in her hometown of Boonville, California with her partner and their 4-year-old son.
