This workshop teaches the much-loved style of Maybelle Carter of the Carter Family. Maybelle’s solo guitar style combines lead and backup in one, and is great for accompanying Old Time, Bluegrass, and country songs.
About Carlo Calabi
Carlo has been playing guitar and learning old time, bluegrass, country, cajun, and cowboy songs since the early sixties. He has regularly taught, or led jams and singing sessions at many camps including Lark Camp, Walker Creek, CBA Grass Valley, California Coast, BACDS American Week, and Folklore Camp. He really enjoys teaching, jamming, and dancing, and has attended nearly all the Larks!
