Turkish Roman(i) Dance is an expressive, freestyle folk dance that involves foot work, hand gestures and belly work. This dance is mainly found in the Northwestern region of Turkey, especially Trakya (Thrace), and the music is often 9 beats per measure. This class is a culmination of knowledge gathered through Elizabeth’s intensive studies with the Roman people of Turkey.
