Workshop Periods

Each camp runs seven hour-long workshop periods per day. The first period starts at 9:30am and there is a 15 minute passing time between periods.

Workshops run continuously through the day. That means you won't have time to leave one camp at the end of a period and shuttle to another camp in time for the next period β€” but you will have time to use the restroom, grab coffee, and arrive calmly at another camp for the following workshop.

Workshop Maps

Each workshop is held in a specific location at Camp 1, Camp 2, or Camp 3. Printable workshop maps show where each workshop happens within its camp β€” useful when planning your walk between periods. A separate map is available for each camp.

Meal Times

  • Breakfast: 8:00-10:00am
  • Lunch: 12:00-2:00pm
  • Dinner: 6:30-8:30pm

Eat in your assigned camp: Breakfast and dinner must be eaten in your assigned camp, but lunch can be eaten anywhere. If you need to change where you are eating for one day, see the kitchen's cashier about a transfer.

Last Friday differs: Brunch 8am-1:30pm; Dinner 5:30-8:00pm. No breakfast is served on the departure day.

Choosing Workshops

Attend as many or as few workshops as you like - simply show up at the correct time. If you're new to Lark Camp, you're welcome to drop in to several workshops on the first day to figure out what suits you.

If you're only attending the first or second half of camp, you'll be taking partial workshops.

Skill Levels

All voice and dance workshops are fine for people with no previous experience, as well as for more experienced singers and dancers.

Workshop Types

Workshop descriptions indicate which ones are repertoire/tune workshops; dropping in and out of these over the course of the week is fine. Other workshops are continuous, building on the work of previous days.

Kids at Camp

Most workshops for younger kids happen in Camp 1. They include instrument-making, art projects, and a wonderful Kids' Play that is rehearsed and costumed during the week, then performed on the last night of camp.

As a parent or guardian, you are expected to supervise any child or minor you're responsible for.

Resources

Workshop materials are available at the Lark Camp Music Library. Printable workshop location maps and shuttle schedules are available on the Lark Camp website.
